I recently posted about losing eight pounds in just 19 days. Then, I went on this epic road trip and was away for ten days… long story short, I gained back almost half of what I had lost in about half as many days as it took me to lose the first eight pounds.
Here are a few things I did wrong and some of the lessons I learned on the way:
- When I travel I need to be more intentional about ordering smaller meals and eating less.
- My body craves more food when I am on the road. Probably because I don’t know where my next meal is coming from… I need to plan my meals out a little better to offset this.
- I like to try new foods… that doesn’t mean I have to finish my plate at every setting.
Basically, I need to exercise more self-control when I’m on the road.
All of this being said… man, there is some really great road food in Mississippi. We found this place called “The Shed.” It was sitting right off of the freeway. If you are ever passing through that area you have got to stop and try their bbq. Good good stuff! Here is my current status from MyFitnessPal:
