Children’s Ministry Leader,
Our calling to serve in Children’s Ministry requires a unique set of gifts and talents full of incredible challenges. The parents and families attending your church expect great things from you. The church leaders and staff team count on you. Then, there are the children who anticipate your ability to bring God’s Word every weekend in a creatively relevant way.
I feel our ability to meet all of these expectations hinges on one other challenge not mentioned above: leading people. In order to accomplish the many tasks required of our calling we have to lead a team of people as we work to impart God’s truth to this generation. Our ability to lead is directly related to the success of our ministry.
How then does one called to Children’s Ministry get the leadership training they need to succeed?
Well, I’m excited to invite you to join us for a new event from the International Network of Children’s Ministry (INCM) designed to train leaders in our unique calling. This new event will explore three leadership arts evident in churches where we see God doing remarkable things in their ministry to children.
Three Leadership Arts Essential to CM Leaders:
1. Develop – walking in faith, developing self, developing others
2. Lead – casting vision, creating strategy, navigating change
3. Disciple – identifying leaders, training them to serve, releasing them to lead
